Tammy, My heart and prayers extend to you for your loss is great yet love never ends. I saw a quote by an artist: Love last longer than life. It gave me perspective when I lost my mom 4 months ago to a vicious illness. Your love one is always with you in spirit.
I can't offer any adequate words, there jus aren't any I know, other to say I'm So sorry, and to send you virtual a hug.
I will share this blog I have found immensely helpful by Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer. Her son died in August and she went back to writing a poem-a-day in October. They are beautiful, haunting and so Real. I would recommend starting here at the beginning of October working through chronologically.
Words have escaped me, and still do, since I first heard. I can not imagine what you are going through.
As for recipes, here is a link to a Board on my Pinterest. I was once a House Manager for a family here in FL and making dinner for them was my every day. This Board is a number of those things I made. Please let me know if you have any questions or are looking for anything specific. I come from a long line of pretty good cooks.
Oh Tammy… the cooking. I feel you a thousand times over on that. When my mom passed away I spent the months between her death and Christmas making a cookbook of some basics that my brother and I and our cousins lived on. I printed six copies of the book and surprised everyone was so surprised. I still use it regularly even though I have my favorite recipes memorized. I will grab a recipe or two from there for you!
Peace and love to you, Tammy, from my heart to yours.

Thank you! I listen to her podcast but didn't know she sent out the poems.
